These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of optwatcher.com and the services provided under the OPT Watcher name ("OPT Watcher," "we," "us," or "our"; together, the "Service"). By using the Service or purchasing the paid product described below, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The legal service operator is identified in the final section below.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

No account is required to use the public calculators or to purchase the current paid product. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your payment email and private access link secure. Anyone with the private link may be able to view and update the plan.

2. What OPT Watcher provides

OPT Watcher provides independent planning tools for F-1 students. The free tools estimate OPT processing and EAD delivery windows from historical, self-reported community data and help users count possible unemployment days.

The current paid product is the OPT Job-Start Companion, a one-time automated digital product for a qualifying, pending Initial OPT case using Regular Processing. It includes:

  • three connected planning paths for the original start date, starting Premium Processing, and continuing Regular Processing;
  • three employer-email drafts using the submitted dates;
  • a downloadable calendar and printable plan;
  • a private, no-login plan link; and
  • status updates and plan regeneration during a 45-day access period.

The plan is generated automatically after Waffo Pancake confirms payment. Payment confirmation and email delivery can occasionally be delayed by the payment, hosting, database, or email provider.

3. Important immigration disclaimer

OPT Watcher is not affiliated with USCIS, DHS, ICE, SEVP, or Reddit. The Service does not provide legal advice, official case status, employment authorization, or a guarantee of approval, card delivery, or employer flexibility. Historical community reports may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unrepresentative of your case, and processing conditions can change.

You remain responsible for checking official notices and case-status sources and for confirming eligibility or case-specific legal questions with your DSO or qualified immigration counsel. Do not begin work unless you have the authorization required by law.

4. Your inputs and responsibilities

For the paid product, submit only the information requested before checkout: your USCIS received date, planned job start date, employer-flexibility answer, product-fit confirmations, and a working delivery email. Do not submit a USCIS receipt number, SEVIS ID, passport number, Social Security number, uploaded notice, or other sensitive identifier.

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose;
  • interfere with the Service, bypass security measures, or access non-public systems or data;
  • scrape, copy, or republish the Service or its datasets at scale without permission;
  • misrepresent an estimate as official USCIS information, legal advice, or employment authorization; or
  • infringe another person's privacy, intellectual-property, or other legal rights.

5. One-time payment

The OPT Job-Start Companion is a single $9 USD purchase at the current launch price, not a subscription. There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge. The same product price is displayed on the sales page and at checkout before payment. By completing checkout, you authorize the one-time charge shown there, plus any tax that the payment processor is required to collect.

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake under its applicable terms. OPT Watcher does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. The name that appears on your statement is controlled by the payment processor and the descriptor shown at checkout.

6. Refund policy

We will provide a full refund when:

  • a successful payment is confirmed but our system does not provide access to the private plan and we cannot restore access within a reasonable time;
  • a material system error prevents the purchased plan from being generated or used and we cannot correct it;
  • you were charged more than once for the same purchase because of a payment error; or
  • applicable law requires a refund.

Because the product is a customized digital product generated for the dates you submit, it is otherwise non-refundable once access has been provided, to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law. A change of mind, an employer decision, a later USCIS outcome, or a community estimate that does not match an individual case does not by itself make the product defective.

To request a refund or report a billing error, email support@optwatcher.com from the payment email and include the transaction ID. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; bank processing time may vary.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right that applies to you.

7. Intellectual property

OPT Watcher and its original site content, calculations, presentation, and software are owned by or licensed to the Service operator and are protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own lawful planning.

You retain ownership of information you submit. You give us a limited license to process that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. Your customized plan may be used for your own personal planning and employer communication.

8. Availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We may also change eligibility, deliverables, access periods, or future pricing. A price change will not alter a purchase already completed.

We may refuse or stop providing the Service when information is incomplete, the request falls outside the stated scope, these Terms are violated, fraud or abuse is suspected, or doing so is required by law. When we stop a paid order for a reason other than your violation or misuse, we will refund the amount paid for the uncompleted service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that an estimate will match an individual USCIS case or that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPT Watcher and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, income, employment, data, or goodwill arising from the Service. Our total liability relating to a paid order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use, share, retain, and protect it. Payment-card data is handled by Waffo Pancake and is not stored on OPT Watcher's servers.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the service operator identified below, excluding conflict-of-laws principles, except where your local mandatory consumer law applies. Before starting formal proceedings, please email support@optwatcher.com so we can try to resolve the dispute informally.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects a paid order that is still being fulfilled, we will also notify the payment email when reasonably possible. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights that already accrued.
