Choose by the question you need answered. OPT Watcher is built for comparing your approval, EAD delivery, and job-start dates. TrackMyOPT is a broader account-based compliance, case-alert, and career toolkit. OPT Pulse is a community processing dashboard.

Its public product pages describe OPT compliance tools, USCIS case monitoring, reminders, document storage, resume tools, job tracking, and H-1B sponsor research.
Its launch description focuses on averages, processing pace, distributions, OPT versus STEM OPT, and a lookup that shows how a filing-date cohort is moving.

Where OPT Watcher is deliberately narrower
OPT Watcher does not try to replace a full immigration dashboard, career platform, document vault, or USCIS case-status checker. It asks for the minimum dates needed to calculate the planning question: when approval and the physical EAD may arrive, and whether that range still fits before work begins.
The free calculator needs no account or receipt number. Exact scenario dates stay in the browser tab. You can keep up to three options visible while changing the filing date, job-start date, or Regular and Premium path.
The optional $9 Companion is also narrow: it is for a pending Initial OPT case using Regular Processing with a confirmed job start and no active RFE, NOID, or disputed Premium clock. It creates a private 45-day plan rather than an ongoing subscription.
What the estimate is built from
The current OPT Watcher snapshot contains 3,303 Reddit-linked timelines, including 2,411 reported approvals. It separates Initial OPT from STEM OPT and Regular from Premium Processing.
The source snapshot was captured Oct 2, 2026. OPT Watcher imported rows from the public OPT Pulse export only when an original Reddit comment permalink was present, excluded OPT Pulse-only submissions, and recomputed the timing intervals used by the calculator.
That does not make a community estimate an official case status. Your USCIS account and notices remain the source for what has happened in your case. The comparison above is about choosing a planning tool, not choosing a substitute for USCIS.

Direct answers
OPT Watcher is the most direct fit when you want to compare estimated approval and EAD card arrival with a specific first day of work. It also keeps Regular, Premium-from-filing, and later-upgrade scenarios side by side.
TrackMyOPT is the better fit among these three when you want ongoing USCIS case monitoring and alerts. Its public pricing page describes daily automatic checks and status-change alerts in the paid Pro plan; OPT Watcher does not accept a receipt number or monitor an individual USCIS case.
OPT Pulse is built as a community dashboard for average processing times, processing pace, distributions, OPT versus STEM OPT breakdowns, and date-cohort lookup. OPT Watcher uses a dated public OPT Pulse export as one source, then recalculates matched approval and card windows for its personal planning tool.
Yes. The tools answer different questions. You can use OPT Pulse for the wider community picture, OPT Watcher for a job-start scenario, and TrackMyOPT if you want an account-based compliance, case-alert, and career toolkit.
No. OPT Watcher is independent and is not affiliated with TrackMyOPT, OPT Pulse, Reddit, or USCIS. Competitor features and prices on this page were checked against the linked public pages on October 11, 2026 and can change.
